  Near the end of this past summer, my original " Lea Thompson as comic Beverly Switzler " images from 2019 saw a sudden burst of favorites on DeviantArt from out of nowhere. I don't know why, but they just did. I also knew my DeviantArt anniversary would be coming up soon, and like I've said before, I'm a bit embarrassed with how those early images look now compared to my more recent material, and I thought it would be fun to take another crack at the concept ( again ). To make a long story short, things happened and I pushed it back in favor of focusing on the far more pop-culturally relevant Doctor Who and Poison Ivy images to be posted in the weeks around Halloween.   The Ministry had received a tip that the London-based Pherum Technologies was working on a device capable of "direct synaptic interface", a more sensational way of masking the machine's true purpose to influence and control one's thoughts. Emma Peel (now an official operative of The Ministry) was sent to investigate the insider's claim, going undercover and getting hired on as a receptionist. Unfortunately for Emma, it didn't take long for Pherum to learn of the spy within their organization, and it was soon arranged that Mrs. Peel would get her up-close and personal examination of the latest model of their mind-morphing machine. With the synaptic interface device firmly fixated to Emma's temple, Pherum put their newest employee to work as a security drone, patrolling the complex in search of any would-be saboteurs or secret agents looking to stop her masters...   Recently, I did a remastered version of Prisoners of The Spiders with Susan and Barbara, and it got me wanting to do something else with them. I wanted to do something in the vein of the Rose and Donna pin-ups from a few months ago inspired by the Doctor Who DVD re-releases, but decided to make it more like a "lost" promotional image with the two (taken on what is clearly a television studio set).   Beneath the small English village of Blackcaster, deep within a winding cavern, Barbara Wright is about to discover an unnatural metamorphosis is taking place.   It was shortly after the opening of the Institute of Future Technology that the organization launched one of it's first major achievements. Inspired by the Pioneer probes of the early 1970s, Doctor Emmett L. Brown and the institute's Intergalactic Innovations division created a highly advanced satellite broadcasting a message of peace and goodwill for anyone in the depths of space who might hear it's signals. Little did they know they'd receive a response so soon. The Yolkians began their siege at the satellite's place of origin, abducting many of the facility's staff and volunteers, Clara Clayton Brown being among them.   Located on the tropical paradise of Isla Nublar, the Jurassic World resort is one of the most popular vacation destinations on the planet. While many would be overwhelmed with running an attraction such as this, it's nothing that the park's operations manager Claire Dearing can't handle.   In the year 1991, Doctor Emmett L. Brown opened the Institute of Future Technology, a facility dedicated to the study of time travel and the creation technological advancements. Clara Clayton Brown (the good Doctor's wife, the mother of his children, and a native of the late 19th Century) volunteered to become one of the institute's "Temporal field agents", traveling across time for various tasks and experiments. Here we find Mrs. Brown and her personal DeLorean time vehicle in the building's "runway", fresh from an adventure in the not too distant year of 2015. Another REMASTERED post.   Two years ago, I made the Princess Leia: Rebel Spy series of images, and they ended up becoming my first really popular pieces. Unfortunately, I look back on them now and feel like I should delete them out of embarrassment at just how low-quality they are to my recent stuff (but hey, I was still relatively new at the photo-editing game at the time). Instead of just deleting them, I'm going to release new "remastered" versions of select images every now and then, beginning with Rebel Spy .   The ceremony is mere hours away, and the final preparations are well underway as King Goobot finds himself in the drone storage facility. With the aid of his two most loyal of servants, he begins a manual test to make sure all mind control helmets are functioning to avoid any later "mishaps" which could arise later. "Yes," he quietly murmurs "Poultra will be most pleased with this batch of sacrifices..." Without warning, the sleepy London street was bathed in an eerie yellow and green glow.   An investigation deep in the basement of Endsville University's old abandoned science department leads one Velma Dinkley into the lair of a green gelatinous creature hungry for brains! Fortunately for the starving alien, Mystery Inc.'s resident geek girl provides him with a sweet snack, which in turn leads to her becoming his latest mindless thrall. "Sure she might it it's deranged, but she won't give it a thought after I've eaten her brain..."   The strange airships hovered above the city under the cloak of midnight, their emerald tractor beams dancing sporadically like spotlights as they pulled in any human caught in it’s gaze. It cared not who they were or where they came from, as long as their bio-signature deemed them worthy of abduction. By the time the effects of the paralysis ray had worn off, the abductees found themselves on a distant planet populated by gooey green creatures floating in egg-shaped armor. The Yolkians (as they were apparently called) informed their prisoners that they were to be immediately processed for dronification, to join the ranks of their ever-growing army of slaves. Of course, the prisoners protested this, but there was very little they could do as large black and silver helmets were placed upon their heads.
